While it’s still early to compile demographic information from delegates to the 66th CFA Institute Annual Conference, enough individuals have registered to start comparing how Singapore’s audience measures up to our past annual conferences in Chicago and Edinburgh.
38 countries will be represented at the 66th CFA Institute Annual Conference with 29% of registered delegates from the United States, and a little more than 15% coming from other countries in the Americas region. The remaining 55% of attendees are split almost equally between those in the Asia Pacific region and those traveling from the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region.
Most of the individuals who have registered to attend are experienced in the industry:
- 95% of registered delegates describe themselves as having more than six years of experience in the investment industry.
- More than 85% of the delegates registered for the annual conference are CFA Institute members.
- 70% of the CFA charterholders attending have held their certification for a minimum of six years.
Of the delegates who provided job information, 20% are chief-level executives. It will be interesting to see if the final attendance total for Singapore retains this high concentration of executives — it is a noticeable increase from the past two annual conferences, where 13% of attendees described themselves as CEOs.
The 66th CFA Institute Annual Conference offers opportunities to network with these international investment professionals as well as presentations from Nobel laureates and unique insights from thought leaders. You can register to attend the conference and follow this blog for more demographic updates as the event draws closer.
