The 66th CFA Institute Annual Conference, the first CFA Institute Annual Conference to take place in the Asia-Pacific region, will now be held at the Sands Expo and Convention Center at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
Located just a short distance from the original conference venue, the Marina Bay Sands complex is located in Singapore’s central business district, Marina Bay, an area described as “Singapore’s new downtown” by The Straits Times.
Marina Bay Sands was completed in 2010 by Korean construction company Ssanyong Engineering & Construction — a company that has worked on other high-profile Singapore construction projects, including the Raffles City complex and an underground, 10-lane expressway. The Marina Bay Sands complex is both a symbol and a product of the rapid economic and architectural development that has been taking place in Singapore, a country on track to become the financial world leader of 2022.
Delegates to the 66th CFA Institute Annual Conference in Singapore can enjoy the many features the Marina Bay Sands has to offer:
- The SkyPark, a roof deck that includes the world’s longest elevated swimming pool, which is more than 625 feet (190 meters) in the air on the world’s largest public cantilevered platform.
- Six celebrity chef restaurants from award-winning masters including Guy Savoy, Wolfgang Puck, and Tetsuya Wakuda.
- The Singapore ArtScience museum, which has a unique, lotus-inspired shape that has been described as “the welcoming hand of Singapore” by American business magnate Sheldon Adelson.
