“Investors are a key to system stability,” Sheila Bair, chair of the Systemic Risk Council and senior adviser to the Pew Charitable Trusts, said when addressing the 67th CFA Institute Annual Conference. “I’ve worked in Washington, DC, for a very long time, and I know that it’s easier to get things done when there are industry voices supporting good common sense regulation.” As such, Bair welcomed greater involvement and feedback from the buy side.
