Adrian J. Cronje, CFA

Adrian J. Cronje, CFA, is chief executive officer and chief investment officer of Balentine. Previously, he served as senior vice president and chief investment strategist at Wilmington Trust, where he chaired the Investment Strategy Team. Dr. Cronje has also served as director and deputy head of quantitative equity products at Schroders. He has published several papers and addressed national audiences on topics relating to investments and the investment industry. Dr. Cronje is a guest lecturer at several prominent universities and serves on the Board of Trustees and chairs the Investment Committee of Agnes Scott College. He is also the founding president of the not-for-profit A+ Squash and a member of Vistage, Rotary, Young President’s Organization, and TiE in Atlanta. Dr. Cronje was named one of Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Top 40 Under 40 and was an honoree at TiE Atlanta’s 2018 Top Entrepreneur Awards. Dr. Cronje earned a bachelor’s degree in economics, with honors, from the University of Cape Town and a master’s degree in economics and finance and a PhD in macroeconomics and econometrics from the University of Cambridge.
