Anne Richards

Anne Richards is chief executive officer of Fidelity International. She has two decades of experience as an analyst, a portfolio manager, and a chief investment officer and is a strong proponent of environmental, social, and governance investing. Previously, Ms. Richards was CEO of M&G Investments and was a director of its parent company, Prudential plc. Her career path spans many blue chip global financial companies, including Alliance Capital, J.P. Morgan, Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, and Aberdeen Asset Management. Ms. Richards is a Chartered Engineer, and she began her career as a research fellow at CERN, the European Organisation for Nuclear Research. She chairs the UK Financial Conduct Authority’s Practitioner Panel and is a member of the US-based Board of Leaders of 2020 Women on Boards, which works to increase the proportion of women on corporate boards. Ms. Richards has been recognized in the United Kingdom for her service to the voluntary sector and to the financial services industry by being appointed a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order (CVO) and a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE). She earned an MBA from INSEAD.
