Campbell R. Harvey

Campbell R. Harvey is professor of finance at Duke University and a National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) research associate. He is also the investment strategy adviser to the Man Group, the world’s largest publicly listed hedge fund provider. Professor Harvey is president of the American Finance Association, is a founding director of the Global Business Outlook CFO survey, and was editor of the Journal of Finance.  He won the 2015 and 2016 Best Paper Awards from the Journal of Portfolio Management for his research on distinguishing luck from skill, and he has received eight Graham and Dodd Awards from CFA Institute for excellence in financial writing, including a 2016 Scroll Award for his joint work on “The Misrepresentation of Earnings.” Professor Harvey obtained his doctorate from the University of Chicago.
