Campbell R. Harvey

Campbell R. Harvey is professor of finance at Duke University and a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research. He is also a partner at and senior adviser to Research Affiliates, LLC. Professor Harvey has served as president of the American Finance Association, is a founding director of the Global Business Outlook CFO survey, and served as editor of the Journal of Finance. He won the 2015 and 2016 Best Paper Awards from the Journal of Portfolio Management for his research on distinguishing luck from skill in investment management, and he has received eight Graham and Dodd Awards/Scrolls for excellence in financial writing from CFA Institute, including a Scroll Award for his joint work on “The Misrepresentation of Earnings.” Professor Harvey teaches the course “Innovation and Cryptoventures” at Duke University. He obtained his doctorate from the University of Chicago.
