Jane Hyun is founder and president of Hyun & Associates. She is a global leadership strategist, an executive coach, author of Breaking the Bamboo Ceiling, and coauthor of Flex: The New Playbook for Managing across Differences. Ms. Hyun is an internationally recognized expert in leader onboarding, talent identification, and cross-cultural effectiveness. She works with startups and established companies in a variety of sectors, including technology, financial services/banking, consumer products, retail, health care/pharma, sports/entertainment/media, and social enterprises. Previously, Ms. Hyun served as vice president of human resources and talent at J.P. Morgan and director of recruiting at Deloitte & Touche. She appears regularly on CNN and CNBC and is a frequent contributor to the Harvard Business Review, the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and Chief Executive. Ms. Hyun serves on the boards of Operation Exodus, which provides academic mentoring to Latino youth in Washington Heights in New York City, and the American Heart Association Diversity Council. She has served as an adviser for the Toigo Foundation and the Task Force for Talent Innovation and as research director for the Conference Board’s Cultural Fluency: Leadership Styles in Asia study. Ms. Hyun holds a degree in economics and international studies from Cornell University.
