Liam Halligan is an economics commentator for Telegraph Media Group. He writes the weekly Economics Agenda column in the Sunday Telegraph, which has been recognised with a British Press Award and has a wide international audience. Mr. Halligan also writes regularly for the Spectator and the Sun and appears three times a week on CNN Talk. He has been a political correspondent for the Financial Times and was an economics correspondent for Channel 4 News, where he earned a string of accolades, including the Wincott Business Broadcast Award. Mr. Halligan has written for the Economist from Moscow, the Wall Street Journal, and GQ. He appears regularly on flagship BBC programmes, including Any Questions, Question Time, and This Week, and writes and presents “Dispatches” documentaries on economic and business issues for Channel Four. Mr. Halligan has also held economic research posts at the International Monetary Fund and London School of Economics and has extensive business experience. He earned economics degrees from the University of Warwick and the University of Oxford.
